It was sad, it was silly, it was a lovely bit of escapism
Love how they managed to beef up Emma Thompsons bit character

Wish I liked this more than I did
I can see why it’s most likely going to clean up at the Oscars, very talented acting and beautifully shot
However it didn’t captivate me as much as I would have liked, particularly considering how long it was
The dialogue didn’t grab me and it was very drawn out, for not a lot of payoff
Despite being about the creator of brutalism, it wasn’t really a film about architecture, at all, so…
Love love love films like this, packed with questions and nuance, with lots to ruminate about from the smallest of interactions or moments, thanks to the powerful acting on display
I like it when films don’t feel the need to wrap things up into a happy or sad conclusion, or buy into the idea that there are inherently “good” or “bad” characters, just 90 mins of real people feeling real things
It was everything, desperately sad / bleak yet somehow hopeful at the same time, funny and yet heartbreaking 👏
