INTRO
Grand Prix winner at the Cannes International Film Festival 2023, The Zone of Interest is not a casual watch—especially challenging if you have ADHD. This is that borderline arthouse, typical cinephile-worship film. And yet, I strongly recommend it, irrespective of your tastes, because it is unique—unlike anything I have ever seen. Steven Spielberg, who made Schindler's List, called it "the best Holocaust movie I've witnessed since my own."
SYNOPSIS
The Zone of Interest is a historical drama directed by…
First things first, directing is a challenging job alone and R Madhavan not only did that well but also starred as the protagonist, wrote the movie and had his fortunes at stakes. Honest respect for Madhavan because a Director like Quinten Tarantino despite knowing acting and having the good looks, keeps himself to minor roles at most.
That being said, I do have some problems with the film. Let me begin with listing down a few verbatims from the film…
It is so ugly that you just can't stop looking at it.
It is so hideous that you can't help but take a peek.
Every character is so flawed and ugly from within that you never hope for anything good and yet repulsed by the rotten outcome.
One of the best works of Kashyap.
Maza aa gaya.
And Girish Kulkarni is bestttt🤌🏼
