I strongly believe the brachiosaurus scene is the greatest movie moment of all time: past, present, or future

“People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people”
Astounding how this and Batman Begins came out in the same year when they have so much in common. Disturbing how that was 20 years ago
Hugo Weaving gives a mesmerizing and melodramatic performance that conveys far more emotion and facial expression than a static mask should be able to
Absolutely iconic crescendo

Mickey 17 2025
Really bummed to come out of this feeling like not only did it fall into the same pitfalls as the book, it found new ones of it own. There is so much more this premise could achieve.

Wicked 2024
Much better than it’s oversaturated (get it? double meaning!) trailers and advertising made it out to be, and certainly on the better side of musical adaptations (kinda by default). This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Thinking a lot of thoughts after this: I’ll need to revisit this review more over time
My initial reaction is that this is a very funny, very emotional, very well-acted movie that feels a little structurally confused. It’s hard to thread the needle on this mix of laugh-out-loud humor, secondhand embarrassment, raw sadness, generational trauma, and, well, other words for real pain — and the script mostly manages it! Candidly, I wanted a more satisfying ending, but I admit this ending is the more organic one
Really impressive behind-the-scenes work from Jesse Eisenberg
