  A fundamental failure as an adaptation....and yet....

  The two faces of ITLL:
  1) it's possibly the farthest away from the original story I could come up with while having some semblance of the same plot... from characters, to themes, to setting, to it's approach to color (and don't get me started on the change to the ending).   Is it more comforting or disturbing to realize that everyone you think has figured it all out is just as lost as you? You may not know what you are supposed to make of yourself in the world, but if you can find something to chase, even just for a little while that might be enough to keep you going.

  Lot to ponder with this one, but it's understated and heartfelt, which is totally my jam.
