Ooof!
Spent most of the show thinking that it had a fundamental misunderstanding about toxic power dynamics and consent, and then you get into the home stretch and realize it knows /exactly/ what it's doing with those themes...hot damn it's good, but also really, really doesn't pull any punches with the finale.
have someone stand around and lecture people about how there shouldn't be any penises in a women's locker room while her son runs around the room naked is 100% on-point
Is it more comforting or disturbing to realize that everyone you think has figured it all out is just as lost as you? You may not know what you are supposed to make of yourself in the world, but if you can find something to chase, even just for a little while that might be enough to keep you going.
Lot to ponder with this one, but it's understated and heartfelt, which is totally my jam.
