Dante's Peak 1997
A classic Hollywood popcorn disaster flick that doesn’t try to be anything different. The story vastly benefits from gorgeous Idaho sceneries, making the lengthy setup worthwhile. Once the volcano erupts it becomes a cinematic outburst, delivering through special effects that hold up remarkably well.

What They Had 2018
The delicate subject that What They Had tackles, most often generates an Academy Award. Unfortunately in this case, the material doesn’t elevate to it’s true potential. The storytellers seems scared to cut deep into the wounds that Alzheimer’s disease cause on families. Still Alice deals with the same topic and is in that regard a better movie that rightfully earned an Oscar and that will stay with you for a longer time. What They Had is ironically forgetful.
