Plane watch for the first time since I was a kid and so glad I rewatched.

Sexy and fun and makes you want to become a dancer. (Jennifer gray was 27 when she filmed the movie so yes it’s okay for me to call it sexy, back off).

The montage of her learning to dance on the bridge is so good.

Yes, the movie is essentially one long music video with just enough plot to propel the story forward. And…

Ughhhh disappointing. Wish it had honed in on the sci fi story instead of all the heavy handed trump stuff. Could have been really interesting if they focused more on the clone/human soul/identity crisis/awakening angle at the exclusion of environment/colonialism/idiots in charge of institutions stiff

Too many ideas and not enough focus. This concept is so up my sci fi nerd alley and I didn’t connect with it at any point

This was a beautiful looking and sounding movie. Great acting performances. Lot of themes to chew on like trauma, addiction, family, crying while receiving a hand job.

But I would have liked a bit tighter of a plot. I was sucked in right before intermission but didn’t love the time jumps. Also very long!

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Haunting, grotesque, captivating. I don’t normally watch horror but I like this one. I dig Eggers, I bet you could pause the movie at any point and the frame would look fantastic.

Moral of this story: NEVER be horny
