  slice of life but with that keke palmer magic. she is phenomenal and is incredibly entertaining. sza was decent (her character was a liability). light hearted, kinda felt like a rom com but for really good friends. enjoyable and worth the watch

  OKAY. super original premise, lovely cinematography, sound/score on point, but the main chefs kiss was THE STORY. very seldom do you say that about thriller/spooker movies. i was on my toes. i was INVESTED in this family drama while trying to figure out this entity. some of the plot points are heavy handed (looking at you medium) but the ending, WOW. i was touched. the family dynamics, the new friends, growing pains, all of it. incredibly well written and the pay off was lovely. i wanna go back and rewatch with new knowledge. still thinking about it

  extremely heartwarming. a tight plot with plenty of humor. they didn’t just make the players “cute” which i extremely appreciated. they were fully fleshed out which tied into harrelson’s arc really nicely. a definite feel good movie

  self indulgent and so excessive. the themes were so heavy handed and the flow of the story was all over the place and i didn’t care about any of the characters, it was also an hour too long. that being said, the score is quite possible the best of the year
