I'm genuinely baffled by how poorly this film is received! It's brilliant! It's definelty a more thrilling and thought provoking work than The Abyss (which I enjoyed). Much like The Abyss the first half is stronger, but I do think this ending has more to offer than meets the eye, and I kind of enjoyed how it kind of collapses to the finish line rather than tied up neatly.
