  I hope the pay check was worth it because - despite Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jim Broadbent, and Gemma Jones...to name a few brilliant actors - this film was absolute bollocks.

  Lydia Tár - still sporting her bruised face - and her partner, Sharon, waltzing in the midst of an "Eyes Wide Shut" party was like a fevered dream. 

  Thank you, Todd, Cate, Nina, and Berlinale. 

  To not continue the story of the rise (and fall, again) of Lydia Tár in a 2nd film would be a violation of Women's Liberation movement, against the environment, anti-conservation, and a crime against all of humanity.

  Help us, Todd Field; you're our only hope.

  Dead Ringers 2023

  I adore Rachel Weisz and have been looking forward to watching this series for ages. 

  But 2 episodes in and the dialogue, the New York "power lesbians," chaotic dinner scenes, and the "shock" birthing opener all feel outdated - like it's 2003, instead of 2023. It just doesn't work. 

  They thought they're giving "shock" but are, in fact, giving dull, duller, DULLEST.
