I hope that in 40 years I will find these movies just as hilarious and satisfying to numb my brain when I'm in a bad mood. I love that they play on paranoid phobias and just go beyond plausibility so much.

They Look Like People 2015
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
How often do you find a film where schizophrenia is displayed in the background of a horror film as a twitching person in a straight jacket meant to be ogled? They draw on the walls, throw feces, and make for spooky background stories of abandoned houses in every other film these days. We are always on the outside, as spectators. There is no horror in that display, just misunderstanding.
They Look Like People unsettled me far more than I expected…

Hidden 2015
This completely exceeded my expectations. It is definitely one of my new favorites of 2015.
I sincerely hope that people give this film a chance, because it starts off so simple and leads up to a fascinating ending. It could very well have been a generic thriller, but it deviated from anything I would have imagined. I love when a film can still surprise me like this. The acting is solid, especially with Alexander Skarsgard. He plays the most convincing and loving father I have seen on film for quite some time.
