This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I wasn't prepared for how anxiety-inducing and frustrating the majority of the film is. I mean that as a compliment.
Anora is a character that lives her life through monetary transactions. Her job being a prime example. But even when she gives up that life, she's willing to potentially give up her husband for $10k. The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024
Gave me everything I wanted plus a little extra. Laughed out loud multiple times. I love Daffy Duck and he's the absolute lord of chaos that he needs to be. I've always liked Porky Pig too, and always thought of him as a Butters from South Park type. There are hints of that here, but he's given a lot more agency, making him a well-rounded character.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood 2019
Rewatching this was kind of mind-blowing. I like it way more then when I first saw it, even though I liked it quite a bit then. But this time around I really felt like I was on its wavelength.
The vignette style of storytelling I think works perfectly. Each sequence plays like a joke with an incredibly long setup, ending with a very quick punchline. The whole movie is sort of structured just like those vignettes. A second viewing allowed me to get into the rhythm of that structure.
This viewing made this one of my favorite Tarantino movies. The vibes are immaculate.
