  Ladies They Talk About 1933

  I'm not at the halfway point in Barbara Stanwayck's filmography and I doubt I'll ever get much past that mark, but TCM is feeding me right now.
  This one has been on my to-watch list for a long time, but it's not very notable. What really stood out was the prison cells and how they looked like small bedrooms, or dorms as one other review put it. And I’m noting it because it's possibly the only image that will stand out in a month.

  Changing Fashions 1993

  A silent film whose musical accompaniment is early 90s rock; I think I saw Sonic Youth in some scenes. Debbie Harry is full Divine camp, running around lower manhattan putting up flyers, harassing Anthony Kiedis and gf Sofia Coppola. They run away from her attentions for sixteen minutes. Sixteen long minutes. On the plus side, I never knew the origin of that photo of DH kissing SC and it’s from this little exhausting time capsule.
