  Hadn’t seen this is probably 20 years. It’s crazy how something that’s, in actuality, not even that good can still have such a deep impact on your life. This is one of those movies I obsessively watched on repeat as a kid and had every line memorized of. I later spent a decent chunk of high school and college summers wandering around the US with a camera, sleeping in the car and trying to read books that went way over…

  I like the concept of this, but the perspective feels conflicted with the way it's shot. I feel like it would have been a lot more interesting if it didn't have all of the close up camera work of people's faces and eyes and hands, but instead stayed entirely focused on the apartment itself. Then we could pick everything else up contextually about the people who happen to be within its walls.
