Solid Ghibli film. Didn’t stand out as amongst his best works. Had me double guessing about what exactly was happening throughout the entire plot. Probably a little too vague in the end? Nevertheless, I think it deserves a second watch.

Every Ghibli film I have watched so far, passes the Bechdel test. This was no different.

Wow… just wow. This movie is a sobering reminder that Godzilla is not about a monster terrorizing Japan or the USA. Rather it’s about a beast that we unleashed in 1945 that will never ever die. Not until all of humanity is gone. An atomic abomination of our own making.

This film is a must see.

    It passed the Bechdel test.

My new favorite movie. To be quiet honest, it’s probably the best movie I have ever seen. It’s quirky, it’s vulgar, it’s funny, it’s weird, it’s…. impossible yet but most of all… it’s real. The emotion is real. The story is real. The message is real. This movie will break you into a million pieces before you leave your seat. It’s cinema in its purest most extravagant form.

This film will take you everywhere and show you how to be…

Excellent movie. Lots of fan service which is always hype in a Marvel movie. One moment in particular got me so gitty that I swear my heart rate jumped 40bpm.

Sam Raimi’s fingerprint is all over this movie. That being said, it was pretty clear that the Marvel execs had some serious refinement done to the auteur’s vision. Nevertheless, it was funny and suspenseful - the full Raimi experience.
