  Long have I waited for this… and now that I was fortunate enough to see it “early” at the London Film Festival, I think my whole anticipations and hopes lessened my enjoyment of the film to some extent. On my second viewing I was able to focus more on the storytelling than the visuals, and it has grown in my eyes.

  maybe the hard truths were the friends made along the way
  and by friends I mean the bad reviews because this was so boring, bland, with one-sided flat characters that don’t develop at all and nothing actually changes or really happens throughout the film

  World premiere at the LFF… fantastic! So emotional, sad and sweet, with such great subtext and Del Toro’s specific dark twist is definitely noticeable. The time placement adds that much more depth and meaning to an already touching story.
