  So this is…kind of great?
   This movie was a breath of fresh air. A great concept and thrills/scares that keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. One of the best horror films of the 2020s.

  Ever since my grandfather showed me this as a young kid, I’ve always had a soft spot for it. But the thing is, it’s legitimately great. You can appreciate this 90’s classic for multiple reasons- a sci fi blockbuster, a satire of fascism, and the glorification of violence in media/propaganda.  I don’t think Paul Verhoeven gets enough respect- Robocop, Total Recall, and Starship Troopers are all incredible.

  This could’ve been a really cool sci fi movie, and I left the theater scratching my head at why that was the story they decided to go with. This could have been so much more. Robert Pattinson is amazing as always and there’s some cool and funny moments but overall, this was a squandered opportunity.
