Visually stunning set designs and visual effects. It does an amazing job of world building, which holds up brilliantly still today.

It’s a shame the course of the film let it down, a strong start with a premise which interested me but as the film went on I lost interest.

Not my first time watching and probably would revisit again in the future purely to indulge in the city visuals. I can see how this has impacted the sci fi genre, if it didn’t look this good it would be a lower score.

I would be a Night Owl for sure 🦉
Loved the 70s late night talk show setting, something I haven’t seen in an horror which brought a fresh take on the genre whilst still touching on classic tropes. The tensions on and off screen were executed really well.
    Very entertaining!

Until I read some other Letterboxd reviews I didn’t even know about the ai controversy for the TV indent slides, yikes just pay someone to create these 😬 put a lil sour note on it considering how much I admired the creativity of this indie movie

Count Orlok's struggle to get on the housing ladder and his lusting after a married woman.

Poor Thomas (Nicolas Hoult) couldn't catch a break all film and played terrified very well.

I loved the use of lightning, shadows and composition which created lots of beautiful shots.

Sexy vampires are out, grotty vampires are in!
