The Jerrod Carmichael and Christopher Abbott chemistry shines bright in this. Very simple movie that doesn’t do a whole lot but has some emotional elements. I kind of wish there was some more depth to the backgrounds of the characters. The comedy was pretty good for the most part. The story is very off-kilter and unexpected, and I liked that aspect of it. I can see why many people resonate with this movie, and Carmichael did a good job from the director's side of things. Interesting take on life and the value of it.

Strange movie indeed. Hard to rate and my thoughts aren’t fully developed yet. Still thinking this one over in my head and it’s definitely not for everyone. What a gore fest. This film could not take itself seriously and that unfortunately made the horror elements fall flat. The comedy in this movie is well timed I must say. I am left bizarrely confused and disappointed by most aspects of this film. The acting is not even worthy of discussion and the randomness was one of the best qualities in my opinion. It really leans into the what the balls factor heavily. I want Osgood to do more serious horror stuff but that’s just me.

Little Miss Sunshine is a solid journey with a great theme of a tight knit family. The characters were well written and I liked the arcs of each one. I even liked the dad at the end. The indie feel of it and the music drew me in even more so. The grandpa definitely elevated this movie to new heights in more ways than one. Don’t go into this expecting a life change, but expect a fun family adventure with a bunch of winners.
