Gonna log this as James Gunn’s Creature Commandos.
Good show. Story was kinda mid but the characters and their backstories were masterfully done. Loved the take on Frankenstein!

Great movie! Legitimately one of my favorite soundtracks ever, and there’s just so much great action and great heart in this film. The big thing that holds it back and makes the sequels a bit better is the antagonist. Ronan and Thanos (in this movie) are both just so boring to me. Thanks would of course be developed more in Infinity War, but here he and Ronan feel like Saturday Morning Cartoon versions of Vader and the Emperor, with no depth whatsoever.
    Still this movie is fantastic!

Kraven, perhaps I treated you too harshly….

Anyway this movie is so bad on every level how did it get more nominations than almost every movie ever???? How the heck is this up there with Gone with the Wind and All About Eve? What are we doing here?? I’m so confused!?!?

On the bright side at least hatred for this film is uniting everyone across the political and social landscape.

Also congratulations to the film ONCE. You are no longer my least favorite musical film.

    ★★★

As the first talkie adaptation of the story, it’s solid enough. Hicks is great as Scrooge and I love the general creepy vibe throughout. Really nailed the ghostly atmosphere. That said not seeing the ghosts was lame.
    Overall just fine.
