Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut 2006
Such a great sequel! I always loved this movie, but this cut truly takes it to another level of greatness. While the theatrical cut is really great, the Marlon Brando scenes in this cut truly change the heart of the movie so so much. Zod is also much more intimidating in this and overall the tone is much more serious and in line with the first film. Honestly the only aspect of this cut that really doesn’t work for me…

Really enjoyed this. It’s simple and kinda dumb, but works so well as just a traditional blockbuster summer flick. We need more movies like this. An exciting but simple concept executed very well. Not every blockbuster needs to be part 47 of an ongoing story (Marvel, Star Wars, etc)

Anyway this movie is so bad on every level how did it get more nominations than almost every movie ever???? How the heck is this up there with Gone with the Wind and All About Eve? What are we doing here?? I’m so confused!?!?
On the bright side at least hatred for this film is uniting everyone across the political and social landscape.
Also congratulations to the film ONCE. You are no longer my least favorite musical film.
