Oh boy, is Nosferatu Robert Eggers’ best film yet? I would venture to say yes, it is. Eggers nails the psycho-sexual nature of the vampire mythos, in which the vampire serves as a symbol for rape, sinful pleasure, venereal/infectious disease, criminal deviancy/insanity, predatory/parasitic creatures, and the spread of the occult. Nosferatu, like all of his previous films, blends historical authenticity with the beliefs and fears of the time and place being depicted in a manner so convincingly haunting and dense with lore that it becomes a world unto itself. A nightmare, driven by Robert Eggers’ singular vision.

As a dude who likes to shoot film and get tattooed by other dudes who like to chop their own motorcycles yeah this movie resonated with me. It was a bit trite and predictable but yeah it resonated with me.

The overall vibe and setting make Diamonds the sleaziest and scuzziest Bond film in my opinion, and I’m here for every second of it. Hell, the pre-title sequence has a…

I don’t suffer shitty movies gladly and this turd is such a stinker that I can’t help but make a big stink about it. Rian Johnson is simply a poor writer, pulling dumb shit out of your ass to “subvert the audiences expectations” is not clever, it’s just dumb. Like the original Knives Out, his commentary on social trends and politics are incredibly on the nose, unsubtle, and ultimately adds up to a lot of talk without contributing anything of value…
