The Apprentice 2024
Really enjoyed this one, I think the performances are just phenomenal from Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong! The directorial style and camera work here is also striking, with a fly on the wall style approach, perfectly fitting for a man whose entire life has been in the public eye.
I did really like this, I think it’s missing that slight edge that would take it to the next level, regardless of this however, the performances are just so superb that it’s difficult not to get sucked up in this awful dirty world.

A Complete Unknown 2024
I think James Mangold is the ‘every-man’ director. He makes a solid film; for the most part, pulls on the right heart strings and leaves you fairly satisfied. This is all complementary and here I think his approach to the biopic is actually more earnest than something like a ‘bohemian rhapsody’ and instead focuses on the little things as well as the people surrounding Bob Dylan and his impact on them, so yeah I liked that.
Also yeah Timmy is the MAN and one of the GREATS!
Yes I’m a big Bob Dylan fan. Yes that probably had more of a positive bias on my experience.
