Sure some plot points were a little contrived, and for once I actually wish there were more training montages!!!, but the 3 insane lead performances and the really intriguing premise elevate Creed III to the level of its predecessors. God, I love these movies. They’re just so good.

California Split 1974
I love love gambling movies. The sleaziness of it all. Heck yeah. Beautiful. Elliott Gould is absolutely hilarious here in one of my new favorite comedies. California Split is also special in showing the bond between its two leads Bill and Charlie, and also what separates them. Rather than losing it all and feeling like you’ve hit rock-bottom, sometimes even in the largest of wins you feel like you’ve hit rock-bottom. But… most of the time, you don’t.
