The Master 2012
I really couldn’t explain this movie to someone who hasn’t seen it.
Philip Seymour Hoffman gives maybe the best acting performance I’ve ever seen in a movie, this movie also has literally some of the gorgeous shots I’ve ever seen. That is obviously incredibly high praise, but those two elements were the only great parts about the movie.
The story is really incoherent, it’s also pretty slow. Maybe I’m missing something but it felt more like seeing an abstract work of art than an entertaining movie.
Still the best acting ever and the best shots ever make this a great film.

This movie is offensive.
This is just so garbage in every conceivable way, the film has literally nothing to offer.
The characters are all annoying and stupid and have no arcs, it’s paced ridiculously fast, there are no stakes, and the film has literally nothing interesting to say at all.
I would rather watch the emoji movie three times in a row.
