"La Cienaga" (2001), directed by Lucrecia Martel, is an exploration of the decay and disintegration of an Argentine family during a scorching summer in the remote Misiones region. The long takes, no use of non-diegetic sound, and elements of "slow cinema" created, in my opinion, the most boring film. Watching this film was literally painful.
