  The atmosphere, visuals, music and general aesthetic are all amazing and more than make up for any other shortcomings.  The Tangerine Dream soundtrack in particular is so so good.   I would absolutely love to see a directors cut, as the film was obviously cut to pieces and some scenes are a little disjointed.  Either way, this rules - thanks to Vinegar Syndrome for the incredible 4k release!

  Turns out that stupid 90s industrial techno medieval steampunk Beowulf is actually pretty sweet. 

   Painfully stupid, poorly acted throughout, with one of the most absurd(ly awesome) soundtracks I’ve ever heard…but I had a smile on my face for most of the runtime. Another mark on my Christopher Lambert Fanclub card.
