    Finally watched this via AMC+ to determine if I want to order the upcoming 4K remaster and given the numerous mentions of a certain sexual assault scene I can only assume the AMC+ streaming version has said scene censored or is just a different cut. All said, I found this movie entertaining with good acting albeit humorous sound and special effects (not really laughably bad, just not on par with an Alien). Sure this is not winning any cinema masterclass…

    This is a film I went into with low expectations because of a prior disappointment with my first Dario Argenta film that I was “(mis)informed” was one of the great Italian Horror movies. I won’t go into how my definition of horror apparently differs from many others. I will say I was very pleasantly surprised by this film, enjoyed it quite a bit, and would gladly return to again.     One of my all-time favorite movies that I saw in the theatre 4 times. It’s a psychological thrilller based around the seven deadly sins. The cinematography has an overall dark, gritty aesthetic that is really well suited to the mood of the film. It also contains a very widely quoted phrase in the last scenes of the movie.

    Boy was a disappointment coming off of the original. This sequel follows the little sister of one of the girls from the first film but she’s played by another actress and is tormented by nightmares of the first films murders and premonitions of future murders but by a completely different killer. It’s pretty deep in the cheese department with very cheesy acting by the killer. The only nudity is a brief scene of the girls dancing at their “slumber party”…
