The Sweet East 2023
In 2023 one movie was going to become famous for being weird and uncomfortable while also acting as a mesmerizing and wild trip. Unfortunately for this film Saltburn won that title, but I would put this as a close second on my rank list.

The Long Goodbye 1973
Now that’s a leitmotif! This might be my new favorite noir film.
I love Elliott Gould’s character. His dry humor and voice make for an unforgettable character and I really liked how simple the ending was. I would watch ten of these if this was a series.
He can strike a match off of anything can’t he that Marlboro man. Also Arnold Schwarzenegger showed up for one scene just to look hot? Okay I guess, nice!

Can confidently say that I am probably the only person in the world that did a pedal pub, saw Dune 2, and then watched A Dog’s Purpose all in the same day. Guess I’m multifaceted.

Nosferatu 1922
Had the best experience at the theatre tonight. Got to go to a version of this scored in person with lute and electric guitar by Jozef van Wissem. A guy who kind of looks like Ozzy and is styled like Nosferatu himself. We sat on the front row and it was so freaking loud but the picture looked great for a movie from 100 years ago. It was Wissem's own rendition of the score with looping ambiance in the background…
