This is….. good…. Uhhhhhhhhhh but a bit problematic.
Some very weird scenes and lines that have aged horribly (I can’t imagine they went over well at the time) and idk who thought having that in a movie was smart, but other than that it was a good sports movie. Not totally sure how I feel about it.
Sad look at the Vietnam way and the horrible battles and violence fought for no good reason at all. Oliver Stone’s portrayal is equal parts beautiful as it is horrific.
Sargent Barnes doesn’t get talked about enough as an all time hated villain. Truly despicable and made me rage throughout the movie. Joaquin’s performance in Gladiator gets talked about as an all time villain, but he doesn’t hold a candle to Sgt. Barnes

Great change of direction and incredible speed to take the top off the defense. If you need someone to go out there and make a play, he’s the dragon for you

Thinks about the game in a new way. Doesn’t do the typical run the ball for 3 yards scheme (aka killing dragons), he gets in high level talent like toothless and the other dragons to have an explosive offense…
