Its a slow burn and hits all the notes you’d expect a heist movie to hit without saying anything new. That said, its still an enjoyable experience with a rewarding payoff.

Umberto D. 1952
Another amazing neo-realist film from de Sica, and possibly the best film of that era of Italian cinema. Everything is presented here in a careful way - we're not given a lot of backstory, because it's really not needed. Umberto represents many people at the time of original filming.
It's also sad how relevant the film's ideas and expressions on oppression are more than 50 years later. Umberto is still alive in many people today.
