Heartbreaking and tragic. Beautifully made and performed. Cannot imagine going through any part of this story. Truly, truly awful.

Super fun watch with lots of laughs. It did drag a bit, I think probably bc it was driven by a narrator for a lot of the time. Pattinson was great. Collette was incredible as always. Ruffalo was too on the nose with his caricature but made it easy to hate him. I appreciated how it wrapped up with some optimism despite most of the story being cynical as hell. I liked this but also felt a little disappointed but how do you followup something as mind blowingly good as Parasite?

First off, I was very much entertained, Maximus. Secondly: it’s Gladiator 2 so we’ll need 2 emperors and the main guy should use 2 swords a bunch. Probably some more II imagery peppered throughout. Thirdly, Mescal was a cool fuckin gladiator. Fourthly, the monkey demons and sharks were absolutely too much but I went in with basically no expectations so the dumb shit made me giggle and I quickly slipped back into my suspension of disbelief. Finally, Pascal and Mescal please make more movies together.
