Longlegs 2024
At its core the premise is like a corny Blumhouse movie (dolls??) I'd find on Hulu late at night and watch because why not. And yet Longlegs is more than that. How so? The right pacing, sound design, editing, camera work, production design, and even aspect ratio can create its own kind of magic and deliver something much greater than the sum of its parts. Nic Cage (and good performances by everyone) also helps.
