Loved the clue-esque size of the cast and limitations to the areas in which we observe them. So funny listening to actors talk about fake spy technology, like they could just improvise and it would have the same effect. I wish that there was more to the last third of this movie, I was expecting another twist, I think. Jokes on me for getting used to movies being overly long and complicated, I guess.

A great balance of slapstick comedy and sci fi adventure, with RP playing my favorite role for him to date. I like that the world didn’t feel visually overthought, there was a real ease to the sets and costumes. A lot of well timed humor with a healthy sprinkle of existential and heartwarming honesty, as well. Hated all of the despicable characters just the way they ought to be hated, loved the imperfections of the rest of the bunch who needed inevitable flaws. I’m a fan! Liked it more than I was even expecting, I think.

I had to get to this eventually on account of the everlasting impression Elvis accent had on Austin Butler… but good golly… this movie was about 2 hours too long. I enjoyed the absolutely deranged editing for the introduction, and then it got old fast. It’s not like any of it was totally surprising, and yet the random contemporary music interjections threw me off every time. Points on for Austin’s dedication. Points off for every single other thing
