If you’re trying to figure out my movie taste, it’s that Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is a cinematic masterpiece.

The Prince of Egypt 1998
It would be no exaggeration to say this is one of the greatest animated films ever made. It would be even less of an exaggeration to say that this is the greatest biblical adaptation ever made. That is to say that it is both biblically accurate and exudes quality.
My greatest compliment to this film would be that it feels biblical. The score and music is grandiose. Many of the shots are panoramic, almost all-seeing. The Lords presence is overwhelming and clear.
Amazing that a secular studio made a Christian film that is miles better than any film a Christian studio has tried to make.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed 2004
If I had a nickel for every time a beloved childhood masterpiece had a scene containing New Radicals “You Get What You Give”, I’d have two nickels.
Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
(The other is Surfs Up)I undoubtedly have a large amount of nostalgia blindness when it comes to this movie, but I also do think it’s genuinely great. Never fails to put a smile on my face. Shoutout to Conner for all the times we’ve quoted this movie (particularly THAT Shaggy scene).
