This is what I want, utter deranged madness. Doug has done it again. Up there with the first 3 Stalked by my Doctor films and Deadly Mile High Club. Not a minute is wasted in this, it's one absurdity after another and watch out for the best suicide note in all of cinema.

Prom Night III: The Last Kiss 1990
Completely adequate horror comedy. Some Sam Raimi-ish camera stuff. Quite goofy and camp (tho not as camp as Prom Night 2 Hello Mary Lou) , as ever theres some vaguely hot guys which makes me like the film more. I enjoyed and would watch again.

Better Man 2024
Genuinly impossible to describe, the new world struggles to be born. Robbie and the director clearly wanted this to be strange and wanted it to be an exploration of how Robbies bravado hides self disgust and self obsession (I am stronger than MENSA etc etc). And yet! This film is undercut by a deep dishonesty due the same self obsession its trying to explore and an inability to pilot the strangeness of the premise that it ends up creating something…

The Last Showgirl 2024
Yes Miss Pamela.
You can tell this was directed by someone who has no grasp of what normal people are like. The focus here is more on the aesthetics; the washed out montages of Pamela wandering round like she's lost at a rave (too may of these), the shaky blurry camera and the visible film grain. All this can be distracting. That being said (and this may be my gayboy brain talking - though I don't think it is) Pamela carries it and the film really is beautiful. Without her I can't see this working, we're lucky she said yes.
