  Naomi Scott gave it her all and the word is a better place for it. I don’t know what it is about the Smile films, but they scare me about 10x more than most of their genre predecessors. That said, Finn undeniably upped the ante for the sequel and delivered on an utterly nihilistic finale.

  Although the film industry needs more original ideas than sequels, I admit that I would eagerly watch the next film in the Smile franchise.

  An all too important reminder of the unsubtle power of white supremacy to decimate Black and indigenous people. Embedded within this tragedy is a love letter to the Osage people and their zeal and resiliency—and for that, I salute you, Marty.
