    Solid and fun film. It really manages to be lighthearted even with some heavy themes. It shares a lot of themes with American Beauty.

    I don't know that I needed much more than George and Brad looking cool and shooting at people to make this a good movie for me. The plot is thin but it's well shot, and their dynamic is great.

    I read the The Crow graphic novel one day before watching The Crow film for the first time. I think this movie is a pretty by the numbers 90's movie. Ernie Hudson is great in it, and Brandon Lee does a good job.

    The graphic novel... is pure rage, and that doesn't really come through in the movie. James O'Barr wrote The Crow as a way to work through grief after his fiancee died at the hands of a drunk driver. This film seems more like a low budget Batman.

    There is a lot of this movie that makes little sense, but it still works. It's a nice caper story with enough twists and turns to keep you satisfied. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Grodin and DeNiro. This was apparently DeNiro's first big comedy starring role.

    I really enjoyed the cast as well. I grew up watching Homicide so Yaphet Kotto was a welcomed surprise. Dennis Farina, Joe Pantoliano, and John Ashton as well. If you watched movies from…
