This is the kind of independent films that I like. It's amazing how you can witness how the director matured by watching the short films that lead to this gem.
I love how he plays with double or even triple meaning. The water symbolizes life, but it can give you life as much as it can take it away. I watched some interviews and I don't think it was intentional. He seem to be very instinctive, which is much more valuable.
Today I felt like watching monsters. I know Godzilla never disappoint, but I'm amazed by the tension build in this one.
This film is amazing. Kinda ends the debate between rational people and Flat Earthers, because it gives arguments to both sides (although, I'm sure they're thinking Frank Sinatra was part of the plot).
From the technical point of view, it has all you can expect, good montage, good FXs, excellent soundtrack.
I would never pick Tatum as the science guy but, given that it's a comedy it IS funny. Woody Harrelson always delivers and, in my opinion, he outshines Tatum…
