But this movie = bodies bodies bodies + coherence, which in my book = pretty great.Yet, it could be better. Phil and I both actually paused the film at one moment because we were both frustrated with the heteronormative strict gender division, and we both guessed that was a narrative choice for purposes of surprise ending, which was true but not the way I thought.
Also the comparison above just made me want to rewatch coherence.

This movie requires math!
Subtract 2000 stars for the mix of tired exorcism-movie tropes with some serious apologia for certain crimes of the Catholic church, but only certain crimes. Yeah, sure, all of that inquisition stuff was directly Satan's fault. Right.
Add 2002 stars and possibly more for Russell Crowe just having a great time, as well as for just the appearance of Alex Essoe.
