I liked these films the first time, really liked them on rewatch. Excellent job portraying characters who you sympathize with but who are quite clearly nearly completely amoral if not immoral

Dune: Part Two 2024
Watched over four days, so not even considering changing my rating as I couldn’t fairly evaluate it (though it probably would stay the same anyways). Two comments though
1: I think Timothee Chalamet should have gotten nominated for this, not A Complete Unknown. He was great in A Complete Unknown but better in this. I have toyed around with the idea of making a list of my favorite movie scenes, and I think the cave scene might be on it based…Translated from by

The Godfather 1972
The beginning and ending sequences are both so good. I obviously remembered the baptism sequence, but I’d forgotten how amazing the wedding sequence was too. Really just lays the groundwork for the whole movie and immerses you in the culture
