  A bit disappointed I would say

  I didn’t feel or understand the love between Jack and Ennis. We never really know why they keep on going back to each other, and the development of their relationship stays flat.

  I wish the director discussed more on the societal aspect of the complexity of their relationship. Obviously they are in a conservative society and different time period, but Ennis’s first wife doesn’t express so much after from that one time she reveals…

  Even if this story is about Che, leading to strongly politically opinionated reviews, I felt that this film went beyond a simple historical storytelling. 

  It was a reminder of the beauty of authenticity. Of human interactions, of the improvisation of life. The spiritual journey to understanding yourself, of departing into an adventure without really knowing where you’re supposed to go. We feel the drive of the youth to discovery, to travel and to experience new places.
