  Went & watched on a whim. Something you should know, I don’t tend to watch Disney live action remakes (or half or 1/3 live action remakes considering all the CGI) but I was feeling depressed today and took myself to a matinee.   Watched with 26 senior citizens in Newport, Oregon!

  Happy that Tom Hanks can still get the older crowd to show up at the movies (at least for the discount matinee).  

  I liked it - there are some cheesy elements which keep it from being four or five stars (a neighbor who is always exercising with exaggerated motions that’s a little over the top, Hollywood-ish sentimental flashbacks etc). But Tom Hanks is on point as his neighbor Mariana Treviño who turns in an amazing performance with a lot of heart.
