  Super fun, lot more action packed than the first. Zendaya as Chani is amazing, stole all the scenes she's in and her being left as the only Fremen not completely in Paul's thrall is so good.   I haven't hated a character in a long time the way I hated Fritz Von Ehrich. Part of how just truly despicable he's portrayed is just the limitations of running time, but just all the little cruelties he inflicts on his sons throughout got into me. How he treats them as mere extensions of himself, ranking them and belittling them, even after each death always coming back immediately to who'll be up next in such a self-serving way.   Loved this. The minimal setup at the start of the movie had me very lost for the first little bit, but the combo of the music and the evolving visual aesthetic (especially the first Wheel Man scene) hooked me hard so by the time the main plot thread becomes (semi-)apparent I was fully onboard. Might have to rewatch this now that I know the ending and all the characters.
