5 billion lines of expositional dialogue to explain the least interesting take on this type of film. A film I’ve pretty much seen way too many times now. If Heretic was The Menu mixed with Blink Twice pretending to be even an ounce as interesting or original as Midsommar.

    Nosferatu

Nosferatu in its concept as historical lore, treads in the puritanical fetishization of "evil". Eggers starts with the original folk history of vampirism and brings this once held credence to a highly anticipated fourth feature. I do no think this film disappoints in any regard. Robert Eggers continues to make niche films he finds interesting, in the same way Wes Anderson continues to do.

This film does not exist without a deep respect and admiration of Central European and Eastern…
