  omg I FUCKING LOVE THIS! 
  1. screenplay: 1000/10!!! raising the stakes so incredibly high that the pay-offs worked like a miracle (hard to watch, but SO satisfying)
  2. the staging: i’m a big theater person so seeing this stage-like set on cinema was super refreshing! also worked wonders in certain scenes
  3. the acting: TOP-TIER! everyone gave their all. no props no set no nothing. the performances made and completed the movie. Nicole Kidman 🫶 
  4. the handheld cinematography and the dramatic lighting!

  The ending. This is one of the best endings I’ve seen this year, if not in a long time. 

  Throughout the entire film, we see Anora referred to as “hooker”, “escort”, “prostitute”, “whore”; no one ever saw her as a real human being with real emotions. For two hours (Act I and II), Anora showed off her bratty, smart, and independent sides.
