This is one of those films where I beg and plead with the tv for things to work out but they don’t because that’s not life and that’s not whose story is being told here. It’s hard to live with that. It’s hard to watch that. You don’t get that reward here cause why should you when she doesn’t. Why should you get to walk away from this freed from uncertainty when she doesn’t. This movie is unyielding in its tension but from such a subtle and loving place. We’re in the wake of so much.
