Mickey 17 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
My New Year’s resolution is to be more Mickey 18 and less Mickey 17!
A scarily accurate representation of our social climate! Bong Joon-Ho’s satire depiction of mankind and how far the rich would go for sauce felt a little too real! It reminded me of when Sandra Bullock confessed her weird skin care routine to Ellen Degeneres!

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
Mario and Luigi saving that dog from the falling building using their plumbers plunge was a bigger twist than Shawshank Redemption and then Mario and Luigi eating pasta with their American Italian family could have given Francis Ford Coppola a run for his money! Honestly… Cinema!

Marching Powder 2025
Nick Love’s brilliant one-liners and situational humor, combined with Danny Dyer’s perfect comedic timing and lovable charm, make this film very enjoyable. It pays homage to Nick’s earlier work but with a more mature and grounded head, all while taking the piss out of cheesy British romcoms. It’s a unique take I’ve not seen done before, and for that I applaud Nicks creativity!

The Last Showgirl 2024
The music was the only standout aspect, unfortunately. The idea of a dancer dedicating their life to performing, only to be left with nothing when they’re no longer young and beautiful was an interesting concept but I didn’t feel it was well executed. The dialogue was clunky, the emotional beats were nonexistent and the constant handheld close up shots made me wish I had bought a ticket at least five rows further back. Also, if anyone can explain what I was supposed to feel while Jamie Lee Curtis danced on that little platform for about 2 minutes too long, I’d love to know.
