  Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009

  Up there as one of my favourites in the series. Half-Blood Prince does much more to develop the characters than any other film. And the progression of Draco from school bully to unwilling villain with the weight of the world on his shoulders as we see him wrestle with job he has been tasked with is brilliant.

  Snape revealing that he is the Half-Blood Prince is underwhelming and leaves you feeling like "So what?". There is more context in the book but I don't think it's a plot thread that's major enough to name the book/film after it.

  Anything about the cartel doesn't really interest me but I can appreciate the performances and production. The ending left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

  This was a tough one to rate as I don't really 'get' the Mad Max films (barring Fury Road as I haven't seen it yet) and the first hour of this film I kinda struggled a bit to get into it.

  But from Tom Burkes intro onwards this film was epic, bordering on ridiculous almost, and the action and production was second to none. I may not be that into the setting but this is a story of revenge and determination that anyone can understand.
