Besides GOTG3, this is the best MCU film since Endgame, yet it's still mid. Not sure if that's sad, or perhaps a small step to getting better films? If the latter, we've still got a ways to go.
EDIT: Brandon⚡️ reminded me Shang Chi exists so this is the third best MCU film since Endgame (of the one's I've seen, which is most but not all of them.)
It's fine, but not something that deserves to exist.
EXTENDED CUT:
The Criterion extended cut is 3 hours long, which a lot of extra footage of adult Jack and Jack's parents. I enjoyed watching it and seeing the characters in different and new ways, as well as having new context for scenes which previously didn't make as much sense to me. I believe the extended cut is something any fan of The Tree of Life and Malick should check out, though I think the theatrical cut is more effective at capturing the viewer and brining it into the story to reflect on their life.
